Plumsted Township is in Ocean County, New Jersey. It is said to be the geographical center of New Jersey and has an altitude of 112 feet. The community was named after a wealthy land owner, Clement Plumstead in 1845. Among some of the most interesting facts about Plumsted is that it was once the home of the worlds largest egg hatchery and the Duchess of Windsor was once summoned there.
